The apple doesn’t fall far from the tree when it comes to Ben Affleck and his youngest son Samuel’s love of limited-edition footwear. In November, the sneakerheads even took their father-son shoe moment courtside by wearing the exact same Nike Jordan sneakers to a Los Angeles Lakers game. While Samuel’s penchant for cool kicks is clearly inherited from his father, Affleck had the most relatable dad reaction when he recently caught the 13-year-old eyeing up a pair of $6,000 sneakers.
While making a joint appearance at the Got Sole sneaker convention (naturally), a pair of Dior Air Jordan 1 sneakers caught Samuel’s eye. In a video shared by the Got Sole Instagram account on March 3, the teen could be seen eagerly checking out the limited-edition shoes that happened to be in his size–much to Affleck’s dismay.

“You like those because they’re expensive,” the Gone Girl actor protested. Samuel, who turned 13 on February 27, replied, “No, they’re tough. I’ve always said they look good.” As his youngest child took a closer look at the shoes, Affleck joked, “That’s a lot of lawns you gotta mow there.”
It’s unknown whether the father-son duo were shopping for Samuel’s birthday present, but Affleck, Samuel, and Jennifer Garner were photographed smiling and laughing as they enjoyed a paintball party to celebrate on Sunday, March 2.
While the cozy outing sparked speculation that exes Affleck and Garner were giving their relationship a second chance, a source told People that the former couple “get along great” and Garner “makes him laugh like no one else can.” “Jen seems happy that Ben’s happy,” they added.

Both Affleck and Samuel have yet to confirm if they splurged on the Dior sneakers, but fans will be keeping an eye out on their footwear during their next basketball game appearance.
